Marc Held

Preview

For fans of design and architecture, the name Marc Held is familiar. For photography fans, less so. His photographs taken in the 1950s and ‘60s were only recently released. Self-taught, he was eighteen when he took he started taking pictures. Driven by his idealistic family, and moved by the plight and beauty of the disadvantaged, Held used his camera in an attempt to make the world a better place.

With its latest exhibition, La Voz’ gallery offers visitors a never-before-seen look at the past. Marc Held’s photography is deeply humanist in its empathy for the little people. It captures the joie de vivre of that era, with its exalted feelings of freedom and utopia.
