13th Annual Lucie Awards Honor Outstanding Photographers

New York hosted the 13th Annual Lucie Awards in a gala ceremony and awards program held in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. The Lucies – photography awards ceremony honoring, presented awards ranging from Achievement in Fine Art and Documentary, to Achievements in support categories including Fashion and Advertising.

The 2015 HONOREES  and PRESENTERS are:
David Hume Kennerly for Achievement in Photojournalism presented by journalist Ann Curry,
Roxanne Lowit for Achievement in Fashion presented by author, creative ambassador to Barney’s New York, Simon Doonan and comedian, actress and producer Fran Drescher,
Jerry N. Uelsmann for Achievement in Fine Art presented by Lucie Founder Hossein Farmani,
Henry Diltz for Achievement in Music presented by Rock’n’Roll Hall of famer, photographer Graham Nash,
Barton Silverman for Achievement in Sports presented by New York Times Pulitzer Prize winning sports columnist Dave Anderson,
Danny Lyon for Achievement in Documentary presented by Mark Lubell, Executive Director, ICP
Stephanie Sinclair, the recipient of the Humanitarian Award presented by journalist Ann Curry,
George Tice as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by actress Megan Channell.  

INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR was announced by Susan Baraz from AtEdge and presented to Sandro and Maxim Dondyuk (tied) claiming the Award and cash prize from among finalists:

Sandro and Maxim Dondyuk (tied) et Ville Kansanen  win $10,000 (shared) and $5,000 respectively.
Director/photographer Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri presented David Jay, USA with a prize of $5000 and a Lucie statue for the DEEPER PERSPECTIVE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.  David Jay was chosen from finalists:

In addition, the MOVING IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR was presented by director/photographer Indrani Pal Choudhuri to Kerry Payne Stailey, USA, who was awarded $2,500, and chosen from among finalists:

The IPA has awarded over $227,500 in prize money over the last 13 years.  Winning work was displayed in the coveted annual Best of Show exhibition at Splashlight, during Lucie Weekend.
