The American photographer Malerie Marder visited Dutch red light districts. From Amsterdam to Rotterdam, she photographed prostitutes over the course of six years. Shot behind closed doors, these portraits question the links between bodies, commerce and society. By taking on a subject that intrigued her, Marder examines these women’s profession. The book, Anatomy, was recently released by Twin Palms.
