M.Y.O.P. was formed in 2005 by five independent photographers (Guillaume Binet, Lionel Charrier, Oan Kim, Ananias Leki Dago and Frédéric Stucin). In 2007 the collective became an agency. Led today by Lionel Charrier, the agency has fourteen members and represents the work of six photographers. What makes M.Y.O.P original is the diversity of its photographers, who come from photojournalism, documentary and art photography. Their backgrounds offer a complementary look at the modern world.

For Arles, M.Y.O.P. has taken over a building at 18 rue de la Calade and is presenting 18 photo exhibitions. This event is entirely unrelated to Arles, since the agency doesn’t do things by halves: the M.Y.O.P. is holding informal “professional lunches” daily at 12:00 on its rooftop patio and concerts every night.
