Steve Hiett : Graphics

Preview

In 1962 I went to the royal college of art to study graphic design.
I have always loved doing graphics and up till today I still do graphic design jobs.
I have always been fascinated by type faces and as I studied painting before graphics.
I guess you could say my style is an amalgam of these 2 disciplines.
You maybe can sum it up as “robert motherwell meets anthony froshaug ».
It seems the work I am best know for is the book I designed for arthur elgort called “models manual ».
I often see it at advertising agencies where I presume it is used as a reference for graphic ideas that’s what I am told anyway.
