Desire is undoubtedly our primary driving force, both physical and intellectual: the desire to please, the desire to learn, the desire to share…

For most of us, the apple represents a symbol of desire. In some religious traditions and mythologies, it is a mythical and mystical fruit.

It is the fruit of temptation, related to love and beauty, but also the fruit of discord, related to the idea of sin.

I wanted to pay a sort of tribute to this fruit with my photos: the pleasure of rounding its curves and of cataloguing its colors—the apple of one thousand and one nights, the Arctic apple, Snow White’s apple, the Virgin Apple, Adam and Eve’s apple…

The pleasure of sometimes combining painting and the photographic technique gives me the impression of  an endless range …
