Peter Arnell, Stadio Olimpico

Preview

His name: Peter Arnell. He is  artistic director,  brand designer,  communication director, branding guru and a photographer. He is one of the most flamboyant members of the New York community but one of the most controversial as well. Some love him, like Frank Gehry, who was the curator of his exhibition at the Milk Gallery in 2014; others deeply hate him. In any case, everyone agrees, he has a deep passion: photography. Here is his latest achievement.

Fascinated with the art & architecture remnants of the Fascist era in Italy, Peter Arnell took time this summer to carefully document the Stadio Olympico in Rome. These statues were and remain an extraordinary notation of Italy’s cultural shift at the time, as well as Mussolini’s ideal future vision of Italy, a bridge toward his new calendar, Era Fascista.

Jean-Jacques Naudet

Peter Arnell is represented by The Milk Gallery, in New York.
